Our dear friends and fans,
Beirut Green Project, in association with the University of Fine Arts from Hamburg (HFBK), is happy to announce that we will be hosting a two-day workshop on public interventions!
The workshop, which will take place on January 28 and 29, 2012, will be partly based on the “Green the Grey” event as an in-depth case study. It is open to university students in creative fields such as arts, design, architecture and town planning. Ten students from the University of Hamburg will be attending the workshop, and we are now looking for 10 students from Lebanon to participate!
Through the workshop, the 20 students will work together on creating, designing, executing, and documenting their very own public interventions, around the theme of public green spaces in Beirut. The outcomes of the interventions will be presented to the public in a final meeting, followed by an open discussion with Beirut Green Project, members of the urban intervention research team at HFBK, and members of the public.
This will be followed by a party, where you will get a chance to mingle with artists, activist, and many other people from Lebanon and Germany.
We are looking for playful, reflective, utopist, bottom-up, small-scale, surprising, serious, and unexpected solutions to the lack of public green spaces in Beirut, from young students who are willing to take this matter into their own hands !
If this sounds like you, and you are a university student in a creative field, please apply now!
